Toymaker is somewhat of a course and distance specialist around Dunstall Park and he he is still reasonably well handicapped on the best of his old form. He was a good fourth on what was his most recent visit to the track for Phil McEntee and he looks to have every chance from stall ten this afternoon. Megan Nicholls has once again been tasked with the ride and the up and coming apprentice takes a more than useful seven pounds off his back.
Idol Deputy like the selection has plenty of winning experience on this circuit. He is once again partnered by Racheal Kneller who has been on board for six of his seven career successes. He is dropping like like a stone down the handicap and it won’t belong before he once again puts his head in front. It has been over two years since his last win though and that has to be an obvious area of concern. Rafaaf deserves nothing more than to get his head in front and perhaps a short break will have done him the world of good. He looks assured of getting amongst the places once again.
Toymaker is the joint top rated runner in this field and he can make his presence felt amongst some fairly inconsistent sorts.

Blessed King was far from disgraced on what was his first ever start for Gordon Elliott at Perth a couple of weeks ago. He bumped into the vastly more experienced Chitu from the Stuart Crawford stable and was beaten a little over four lengths. He will have learned plenty from that debut and the booking of Nina Carberry suggests that the yard are confident of an improved effort. Gordon Elliott has his team in excellent shape and their representative looks to have every chance of shedding his maiden status this evening.
St Stephens Green was thrown in at the deep end when sent off as favourite on his debut at the Punchestown Festival. He ran well for the most part but inexperience clearly told in him only finishing seventh on that occasion. Emmett Mullins is likely to have schooled him heavily since then and much more can be expected this evening with Patrick Mullins back in the saddle. Black Sam The Man was a consistent type earlier in the season and comes here following a near six month absence. The lack of a recent run may count against him on this occasion and he may not find it easy giving weight away all around. Shark Hanlon will be desperate to get a run back into him but he is passed over on this occasion.
Blessed King is open to any amount of improvement and he is taken to record a first success for a very much in form yard.

Call Of Duty seems to have everything in his favour tonight. He will love the good to firm ground that is on offer and he is still well in on the best of his old form. Emma Sayer has been the winning most jockey on the ten year old veteran and her useful five pound claim can see him go close this evening. The yard have been amongst the winners of late and given the form of the majority of their rivals, he has to rank high on any shortlist.
Save The Bees has taken a while to find his form but he was second off this rating at Carlisle last week. He remains ten pounds below his best winning mark and with him being versatile regarding ground conditions, he looks an ominous danger. David Allan seems to be getting improvement out of him with each ride so it no surprise to see him back on board tonight. Matraash wasn’t beaten all that far at Windsor last time. He seems to reserve his best efforts for the all weather track at Wolverhampton these days so it is a bit of a surprise to see him so short in the market here.
Call Of Duty seems to be somewhat of a reformed character this season and he is taken to record a first win since last spring.
