14:10 Wolverhampton All three tips come from the all-weather at Wolverhampton today with the first selection falling in the first contest on the card. With many amateur riders races there’s two names I always look out for. Serena Brotherton and Simon Walker who, if they chose to give up their amateur status could have made careers as decent jockeys. Brotherton isn’t given a ride but Walker is and you can’t ignore any mount he’s on. Walker gets the leg up on the Richard Guest trained six year old Polar Forest. Not only is he one of only two course and distance winners in the race but he’s looking to build on a victory at Newcastle last time out. The handicapper has been generous with just a four pound rise in weight and in a race that doesn’t look overly competitive I can’t see past the favourite. Of the remaining rivals the only few that could possibly trouble the market leader are Black Dave and New Agenda who, at six and four years old are for from past it and on their day could do well with jockeys who are claiming a few extra pounds in weight. 16:10 Wolverhampton The youngsters take centre stage in the fifth race at Wolverhampton and as with our other contest the favourite gets the nod. The only course and distance winner Poetic Force should go well in a contest of this nature. Jockey George Baker doesn’t have many rides on the card so whoever he climbs aboard has to be respected. I am fearful of one rival however as Madam Pracealot made a promising all-weather debut at Newcastle last time out. Two previous wins on the turf shows she’s capable on her day and any of David Evans’s runners here at Wolverhampton cannot be ignored. A two year old claiming race doesn’t take much winning and no doubt Poetic Force should have enough to win a race of this nature. Poetic Force (WIN)

17:10 Wolverhampton Our third and final selection falls in the last race and once again I’m opting for yet another favourite but it’s interesting to note that Richard Fahey sends just one horse down to Wolverhampton from all the way up in Yorkshire. Cadeau Magnifique has been given the tag of proverbial bridesmaid in its last two races but he was beaten by subsequent winners in both contests and that recent form looks better than most in this class 5 race. Jumbo Prado has been victorious in three of his last four all-weather starts but at the age of seven and with a hike in weights he’s likely to be open to a horse with younger legs. Edge Of Heaven could go close at a decent price especially with a previous course and distance victory. Her form around Wolverhampton in class 5 or lower races reads very well and after dropping down to this level for the first time since June 2015 is an interesting statistic worth noting at huge odds.
