PADDOCKS PATENT (FRIDAY)

14:55 Sandown Rocket Rob will be fancied by many to finally take advantage of his ever falling mark and win this for a second time. Despite not being the force he was in 2013, he is now 10lbs below the mark he took this off and his proven like for the venue is a big plus. A fast finishing fourth at Windsor the last day showed he still had enough enthusiasm and although he comes with clear risks attached ( Often misses the break ) he is taken to weave his way through late on and collect for us. El Viento is even more frustrating than the selection, still he is a very big player against these and despite not having a win to his name over two years, he deserves the main danger tag. Pucon and Whitecrest are hard to separate and both have chances but the rest are difficult to fancy. Rocket Rob (WIN)

17:15 Sandown This probably revolves around whether Inke was fortunate to demolish a small field at Kempton the last time or whether she was just genuinely way too good, there are positives for supporters of her however and a reproduction of her close third here a few starts back would put her bang there at the finish. Pacolita and Inexiles Diamond are closely matched and ought to go close but you get the feeling they are better over shorter and this stiff finish may find them out if its a truly run race. Hala Madrid is fairly exposed but will be running on at the finish, she probably has the least to prove in this line-up and is respected as the main danger but all things considered, Inke deserves to be favourite and can silence the doubters of her facile success at Kempton. Inke (WIN)

17:50 Sandown Mark Johnston’s tremendous season continues and his Freight Train is likely to be backed to continue that run in this. A favourite in both starts to date, he showed a most pleasing attitude when powering clear at Doncaster last season and should be suited by todays extra yardage. The possible downside is his lack of a recent run but with any amount of improvement to come, he is worth risking and can account for these. Monasada and Lemoncetta both arrive here on the back of victories and both hail from powerful yards, they warrant plenty of respect but both lack the scope of the Johnston challenger and both are taken on as such. Of the outsiders, the Willy Muir trained Eager Beaver is likely one to need a bit more time but she is totally unexposed and would need considering if the money came. Freight Train (WIN)
