PADDOCKS PATENT (FRIDAY)

15:15 Chester This looks very competitive with a few course winners present and a few in fine form in their own right. Breakable is chasing a hat-trick of victories and has won around here before, she returns from a three month break so could well resume her recent progress. The draw has been most unkind to the Easterby filly however and winning from stall 10 may just prove beyond her, she does merit respect though and market strength would be encouraging. Apostle has run with credit on numerous occasions around here, the disposal of headgear is slightly off putting though and he could be one for another ay. Gramercy and Deauville Prince are others to respect but lurking at the bottom of the weights is Fast Dancer and he could be too well treated for them all. A good second over five and a half furlongs around here last time, he has to conclusively prove he gets this far but his pedigree offers hope and he has won over 6f here. John Egan will be keen to use his plumb draw ( Drawn 2 ) to good effect and he is taken to lead them a merry dance. Fast Dancer (E/W if 9/2+)

17:15 Sandown Chain Of Events took his impressive course record to five wins from eleven starts when running down the re-opposing Zambeasy the last day and most will likely concentrate on that pair again today. The handicapper has given both a decent a chance but separating the pair now is most difficult and many will expect Zambeasy to make use of the 5lbs weight swing in his favour. Cayuga is as hard as nails but rarely wins and his record of one from seventeen on grass will be enough to put most off, he will likely go in some place before long but he is trading short enough for today and though respected heavily, he is taken on. Sonnolento got off the mark at the seventh attempt when winning at Kempton and followed that up with a fair enough effort at Goodwood last time. Andrew Balding’s charge can pull through his races and although he does look a little one paced, there are significant reasons to think this will be run to suit. With Cornelius, Muraabit, Symphony Of Kings and Zambeasy all sorts that like to lead this is likely to be run at a ferocious gallop and with Sonnolento looking a tad one paced and a possible puller, he really ought to appreciate the pace and as such he is taken to nail them all late on. Sonnolento (WIN)

18:05 Down Royal To end todays article we will make a rare visit across the Irish sea and to Down Royal, with the prospect of four places to aim at this race looks an ideal opportunity for us and Busy Bush to finally shed his maiden tag at the sixteenth attempt. Given plenty do when second at Bellestown the last day he was most unfortunate to find one too tough and with the forecast rain looking extremely welcome, he can take advantage back down in trip and gain that elusive first victory. Athassel is another long standing maiden who makes plenty of appeal, he rarely gets beaten too far in these modest events and having finished second in this last season, his claims are obvious. Knights Thunder does know how to win and did just that at Leopardstown a few starts back, he faces a tough task conceding weight however and can only be respected as such. Easy Boy and Artistic License have strong enough claims if fully revved up but a chance is probably worth taking on the Gorman challenger. Busy Bush (E/W if 9/2+)
