O'MEARA GOES FOR GOLD

15:00 Goodwood

A large field go in this Golden Mile Handicap, Market favourite Path Of Thunder Blinkers at Newmarket for the first time clearly did the trick winning well. is due to go up 5lbs in the future so this looks a good opportunity. However, if the rain was to come, I would be slightly concerned all Path Of Thunder wins have been on Good to firm.

Magical Morning isn't too far behind Path Of Thunder and it seems the 1-mile trip is to his liking having won 3 out of 6 at this distance. The only time he ran at Goodwood he ran a bit of a stinker. but you can see why he is a rival in the betting market beating a few of his rivals today at Sandown. Up 7lbs for that last win is possibly a big ask.

A horse I really like the look of and for me looks a progressive type who seems on the up and has been running in Class 1 listed company last couple of times. Is RHOSCOLYN was 2nd behind Brunch last time out at Pontefract that was a listed race and back down in class 2 handicap company as long as the race 5 days ago hasn't had too much of an effect on him. Think holds a cracking each way chance. has the course and distance form and seems to be a bit more versatile ground wise compared to other rivals. So, I wouldn't be overly concerned with the ground with Rhoscolyn and has won his last 2 class 2 handicap races and I just feel at around 6/1 and a lot of bookies paying 6 places. I'd be very surprised if he was to finish outside the top 6

At a bigger price I certainly wouldn't discourage you of Varuiyann who is ultra-consistent and hasn't finished outside the top 3 in his last 5 races who again looks like a horse who could progress further. so, at a each way price of 16/1 6 places I certainly wouldn't put you off
