14:30 Plumpton
Lusitanien was well backed prior to being brought down early at Sedgefield last time out. However, on his previous start at Chepstow he travelled well before tiring late on but that race was over 2 miles 3 and a half furlongs. Today’s step back in trip looks ideal for Evan Williams unexposed 5-year-old gelding, he finished third in a maiden behind the now 135 rated The Widdow Maker and a reproduction of that run off a mark of 99 should be more than enough up against a mixture of either exposed or out of form rivals to take this 0-100 handicap.

17:30 Wolverhampton
The 17:30 is Division II of a class 6 handicap over 9 furlongs where we see 11 runners head to post. It is one of those races where almost none of the horses have shown any recent form, but one that has is Rose Of Lancashire. She is officially 4lb out of the weights but that doesn’t overly concern me due to her good run over C&D last week where she finished second off a steady pace after being slow away. The winner Inexplicable subsequently followed up at Southwell. She also has the plum draw in stall one so if she breaks on terms, she should have a good each-way chance.
