MONDAY RACING TIPS

13:31 Beverley

Beverley is a tough place for two-year-olds to make their debut and we actually have six in this race who did just that. The experience that those six have gained by racing over this track previously will be invaluable and I will be taking one of them to win. The one for me is Mersea for Grant Tuer and Ben Curtis who looked all at sea on debut but once the penny dropped, she flew home and granted natural progression and being more streetwise she should get the job done. Tom Clover has been in flying form and he once again teams up with Jack Mitchell for Rogue Spirit but being on debut from stall one is not ideal if he isn’t sharp away, he could find himself with a wall of horses in front of him.

MERSEA (WIN)

14:16 Windsor

Son And Sannie is a horse I have thought a lot of, although he has not really delivered the wins that his promise or ability deserves. When he made the move to Archie Watson, I thought he would really kick on but having failed to win on his first four starts for the yard he has dropped to a mark 10lb lower than his last victory. He has gone well in the past and if he’s ever to win another race it ought to be today. Away from Son And Sannie we have The Defiant who completed a hat-trick before coming unstuck last time and he may well be too high in the handicap now.
