14:50 Hamilton
Good Luck Fox couldn't quite reel in the winner when second at Musselburgh last weekend and racing off the same mark could prove vulnerable for win purposes again, while The Cola Kid arrives here on a hat-trick following two victories over in Ireland, however is 8lbs higher on return for his new stable and also drops back to the minimum trip which doesn't look ideal given he was doing his best work at the finish in both recent wins.
Another who may not be suited by the drop back in trip is Jordan Electrics who has made the frame in half of his twelve runs here at Hamilton but has done most of his winning over six furlongs, so for the winner we turn to Ventura Flame who is a three time course and distance winner who won at Beverley when last seen and despite a 3lbs rise for that victory is still well treated on old form.
VENTURA FLAME (WIN)
17:30 Wolverhampton
A decent little race to begin proceedings. Both of Kingsholm's career victories have come here at Wolves, the latest of which came when beating Mutabaahy by just a neck over course and distance almost twelve months ago. Six time course and distance winner Mutabaahy has to give weight away to all but is always dangerous at this level so looks a decent each way option at the early prices, while Street Life is zero from six here at Wolves however arrives in great nick having won his last two.
All of the above warrant respect however I am siding with True Hero who has posted five wins and four seconds from eleven runs on AW tracks in 2021 and carried a big weight to victory at Chelmsford last time out, beating Storm Melody who won next time out. He has gone up 2lbs in the ratings but actually races off a lower weight today and as a prior course and distance winner he could have the edge over them all.
