MONDAY DOUBLE

13:20 Hexham

Martin Todhunter tends to do well with his runners here at Hexham and runs the former point-to-point winner First Revolution who ran well on chase debut when fourth at Sedgefield earlier in the month and has been dropped 2lbs for that effort so looks to have a great chance of bagging his first win under rules today.

Las Tunas carries top weight but is now 2lbs below his last winning mark and has won multiple Class 4 races so would have to be considered now contesting a Class 5, while Graystown has made the frame in four from five here at Hexham so is another for the shortlist.

FIRST REVOLUTION (WIN)

13:30 Pontefract

Mokaatil won this race in 2019 and returns off the same mark in a bid to retain his crown, and although he failed to fire when returning to turf at Musselburgh a couple of weeks ago the only two runners from the race to have come out again both won so with the form looking decent and that run under his belt he looks to have a great chance here.

The most likely to challenge is Venturous who has won five of his last eight and although is 14lbs above his last win on turf he is also 6lbs below his last victory on the all-weather and was only a couple of lengths behind subsequent Group 1 winner Summerghand when last seen. He has been on the go since last June, racing around every three to four weeks on average, but has shown no signs of slowing down so needs to be respected.
