We have a handicap hurdle over 2 miles and 4 furlongs with 9 going to post on Good ground (written 24 hours before the flag is raised)
Chinwag currently heads the market. In his 4 starts this season, he holds a very impressive record with 3 wins and a third place. However, the ground that his winning performances have come on was very testing. Looking at that form, the trip and ground look against the favourite here and I'm happy to take him on.
Mega Yeats for the Mark Walford and Jamie Hamilton partnership looks an interesting proposition. After a season long break, she's ran twice this year coming second and third which can't be discredited. Her last win was over the same distance on good ground in a Mares Novices Hurdle. All seems to be in favour of Mega Yeats here. She's 7lbs lower from that last win and also has a Mares allowance in hand over her rivals.
Harry Skelton is currently a jockey where if you see his name on the racecard, you'll certainly take notice. He's determined to win the Champion Jockey title this year and nothing is getting in his way. He sits on Stormy Flight here. Stormy Flight has been very consistent this season, placing in all starts. However, the same can be said with Stormy Flight as Chinwag. All performances are on soft or heavy ground and with good ground here, it may not suit.
I think all the signs are pointing towards Mega Yeats getting her first win in handicap company and will be my selection at a current price of 10/3.
