MARK'S THE CHOICE IN PURSUIT OF SILVER TROPHY

15:10 Ripon

High draws have dominated this over the last five years, with the lowest winning draw being stall fourteen. That trend could well continue although there appears to be a fair amount of pace within the low numbers today and as such, we shall split our vote and hope for some luck.

Bossipop has scored four times over this course and distance and very nearly earned the vote, however, since scoring at Pontefract in May, he has been rather in and out and remains two pounds above his highest winning mark.

Flying Pursuit has performed with credit on a few occasions since winning here in May and now finds himself one pound below that winning mark. Proven at the venue, he looks a big player if his low draw is no hinderance and any rain would be a significant positive.

Mark's Choice is another who has seemingly gone off the boil, and another who knows what it takes to score around here. Returning having undergone wind surgery and now two pounds below his last winning mark, he is chanced to make the frame at decent odds.

Ghathanfar seems to be getting better with age and has the plum draw in twenty (Twice Housed the winner in the last five years) his new mark demands more once again although he does look a lot more reliable than some.

Danzan has racked up twenty-eight consecutive losses now and is hard to trust for win purposes, he has gone close a few times in that sequence though and respect is afforded. Fortamour finally took advantage of his sliding mark when scoring comfortably here last time, he could follow up although he can sometimes miss the kick, a trait he can ill afford against these.

Cooperation is three and hails from a yard who have saddled two recent winners of this race, he looks the potential fly in the ointment though our two pokes shall be handed to Flying Pursuit and Mark's Choice.
