LU TO SET SAIL IN GIMCRACK

15:00 York

I know it's perhaps a tad unfair but this Group 2 contest for two year olds looks likely between the two at the head of the market.

Current favourite and course and distance winner Lusail claimed a Group 2 success at Flat HQ last time out but was far from a dominant victor with less than two lengths seperating the first four home. Never the less that looks some of the best form in the book and has less questions to answer than his rivals. He looks worth supporting.

Berkshire Shadow failed to uphold his unbeaten record when second at Goodwood last time but wasn't far away in second. A winner of The Coventry at Royal Ascot means he's a seriously talented horse and seems the most likely challenger to the favourite.

Second in the afformentioned Coventry was Eldrickjones but he failed to progress and improve upon that effort by claiming back to back fifths behind both of the main protagonists that reoppose again today. If he produced a run similar to that produced in The Coventry he'd have a solid each way chance but it looks unlikely he's going to lose his maiden tag.

Of the rest at double figure odds Orazio and Spitting Feathers will need to improve but could sneak into the money at decent prices.

LUSAIL (WIN)
