KNIGHT'S RUNNER EASY TO IDENTIFY AT LEICESTER

18:45 Leicester

This Class 5 handicap is run over 10 furlongs and currently 10 head to post with the going at the time of writing being good to firm.

Epidemic (George Boughey) is the current market leader and has William Buik on board. He's stepping up in trip having not run further than 1 mile yet. He won two runs ago under the rating of 60 and he's only been put up 3lbs following that run, which could be seen as quite lenient. He was 4th LTO, only 6 days ago which could be an issue, along with the step up in trip.

Dual Identity (William Knight) is second favourite and has Andrea Atzeni doing the steering. He was 2nd by a neck last time out in a Stakes race and he comes with the rating of 71 meaning he's having to give the market leader 8lbs. I think this mark is fair but there is room for improvement, I think the trip and going will suit and he's proven to stay. An interesting shout.

Uncle Dick (Eve Johnson Houghton) has been very consistent this season. His record is 12333, all over at least a mile. His mark of 68 has not changed over these last 3 runs and I think it seems like a pretty good mark for him.

Of these 3, I think Dual Identity hits both the categories I'd be looking for here. He has room for improvement and is proven to stay the trip. Currently 9/2 it's not quite an each way price, so I'll go for the win for the KVT Syndicate horse
