An intriguing mile and a quarter contest for 3 year olds on the July course with a fair few upwardly mobile 3 year olds on show here.
Dubai Honour ran a fine race at Ascot on his first start of the season. He was the first home on the far side that day in the ultra competitive Britannia hcap. He may well come on for that run, and if he does, he’s a player here.
Foxes Tales showed a fine turn of foot to score at Royal Ascot. He has however shown slightly wayward tendencies at Chester where he didn’t handle the turns, and when clear last time in victory, hung badly left inside the final furlong. Maybe he’s still green, but I’m swerving him on this occasion.
Peter The Great is improving on the job. Very green when winning the Wood Ditton on the other side of the dyke. He is the main danger to my selection.
Inigo Jones is taken to land the spoils. A typical Sir Michael Stoute improver with an outstanding pedigree. He has been given a little time since being beaten by Mohaafeth which now looks to be excellent form. It’s highly likely we could see a stronger individual after this 2 month break, and he is taken to resume his progress.
INIGO JONES (WIN)
