16:10 Goodwood
The majority of these runners have never raced on soft or heavy ground so a lot will depend on how well they act on a much slower surface than they have encountered before. One of just two who has proved themselves on soft ground is Flotus who has also posted a prior victory here at Goodwood. She is dropping down in Grade and back to the minimum trip so would have to be considered in with a solid chance.
The other prior soft ground winner is La Feile who was a solid winner at Beverley earlier in the month. Entitled to come on for that run and with conditions known to suit, she could prove to be a decent each way option despite taking a big step up in class.
Canonized has already posted three wins and a second from five runs over the minimum trip, is two wins from two with Tom Marquand in the saddle, and is a prior course and distance winner so looks to have a lot in her favour especially when considering she overcame a little trouble in running to win at Windsor when last seen. The ground is an unknown but her Dam was a winner on soft and heavy and I have been impressed with from what I have seen to date so I am happy to take the chance that she will cope with the ground and continue to progress.
