Trainer Alan King has been in red hot form both on the flat and with his national hunt string. He has a quartet of runners at Wetherby on Saturday and his representative in the last comes in the form of four year old GROUP STAGE. The gelding returned to action in a Class 2 handicap at Chepstow and flattered to deceive but I expect him to come on plenty for that recent run. He finished last term with a poor performance in the Boodles Juvenile Handicap at the festival but prior to that was less than 2 lengths back in second in the listed Scottish Triumph Hurdle. Now at the age of four this obviously looks very competitive but now down in to Class 3 company shouldn’t be discounted readily.
