GOSDEN CHARGE LOOKS TO RETURN TO WINNING WAYS

Perotto has enjoyed a fine season, landing some valuable handicaps along the way. He’s taking a step down in grade today and has a rather nice weight, which works in his favour. However, he’s only ran at Sandown once and that was over five furlongs but he runs over a mile today, which could pose problems as theoretically, it’s a wholly different track. Additionally, he hasn’t really got any form on soft ground.

Fan favourite Sir Busker has also enjoyed a stellar season, topped by placing third in the Group One, Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot. Conversely, he’s yet to win! You can probably chalk off his last race at York, as that represented a drop back to seven furlongs, which he seemingly found too fast. He has leading claims and should run well again.

Mostahdaf was very unlucky in the St James’s Palace Stakes when he was going well before he was badly hampered and left with no chance of winning. Before that, he had been enjoying quite the nice run. Most notably, winning over course and distance and on soft ground that day. That race was a rather good race, which should stand him in good stead. Everything seems to be in his favour to bounce back from his Royal Ascot disappointment.
