14:05 Market Rasen
The summer handicap hurdle over 2 miles is one of the feature races at the Lincolnshire track during the summer.
A decent field over unexposed horses and solid handicappers.
Camprond and Hooper who are likely to head the market definitely fall into ‘improver’ category.
Camprond has improved during the spring, seemingly enjoying better ground. He trounced a small field here last time, and is undoubtedly a prime contender. He is prone to the odd error, so will need a clear round in a race as competitive as this.
Hooper has a string of ones next to his name. His chance is there for all to see and with a claiming jockey on board it makes his mark look extremely fair.
Mrs Hyde definitely has an each way chance based on her defeats of Fidellio Valis and Verdana Blue last autumn. She will enjoy a fast run contest and could easily find her way into the places.
Wicked West is the selection. He has improved massively since moving to Dr Newlands yard. After two facile victories for new connections, he has taken a hit by the handicapper, but this five year old is on a roll and could take some stopping here.
