GET IT DONE IN THE OPENER

In the opener at Salisbury we’re met with a fourteen runner maiden contest where one of these runners are hoping to taste success for the very first time.

Two thirds of the field are making their race course debut’s and of the un-raced contingent Trans Montana, Hayat and Rechercher demand respect simply due to their connections and could easily play a part however in races of this nature I always prefer a horse who’s made a solid showing in their careers so far.

Both Mistrix and Thebeautifulgame claimed second placed performances in their last efforts and seem the most likely to go one better this time around. That being said however it’s the Charlie Hills trained Diligently Done who looks worth backing here. A fifth on debut was a solid performance that has subsequently been franked with the second claiming success since. The form of that run looks solid enough and with the horse likely to improve for that effort he could go well at a seemingly generous price.
