GALVIN V NEXT DESTINATION - WHO COMES OUT ON TOP?

16:50 - National Hunt Novices’ Chase

What used to be known as simply the ‘four miler’ is now dropped in trip and raced over three miles and six furlongs.

That is not the only change either, with various restrictions in place due to Covid-19 it means no amateur riders can attend this years meeting.

Galvin has been laid out for this for some time. Despite the fact he has had to cope with a recent change of scenery it shouldn’t affect his performance but recent rain and likely softer conditions may not suit.

Few could improve for the marathon trip but the eye is drawn to the class act in the field. Next Destination heads to the race after skipping the Brown Advisory. A previous Grade 1 winner coming back off a long absence he seems in rude health.

Stamina seems his forte and added to his class he is the one to side with.
