FRIDAY RACING TIPS

14:30 Doncaster

A small field in this Mare's handicap hurdle race. Merry Mistress has been a consistent horse throughout this season placing numerous times and runs of the same mark as she did last time out at Market Rasen against a horse who was weighted to go well.

GIlbertina hasn't been seen for almost a year so maybe a big ask for her to win first time out but does return after having a wind operation in December

Auditoria was a little poor last time out but again has been fairly consistent this season and connections would help she bounces back. Fiveandtwenty could be a serious threat today the Donald McCain and Brian Hughes partnership has been in consistent form all season. Will definitely attract some support. She is back down to a more competitive level after running her last few races in higher classes.

My selection though is Midnight Callisto. She made a mockery of her rivals last time out at Exeter winning by 26 lengths albeit some hurdles were taking out that day. Still was impressive may need to slightly brush up on her jumping. How strong that form was at Exeter remains to be seen but surely a similar performance would give her a chance.

MIDNIGHT CALLISTO (WIN)

14:55 Newbury

Lilith has been a consistent this season but still hasn't won a race in 11 races under rules and it is difficult to see how she wins today.

Candy Lou currently looks a big price and her last performance would suggest it was better than the position finished. She jumped left numerous times so the left-handed track at Newbury will suit her a bit more. Roseisaroseisarose has the cheekpieces added to possibly to revive her but you would have to be concerned by her recent form and is another who hasn't won in 18 races under rules.

Favourite Fortunes Melody hasn't won a race in England yet having won a couple of races in France. has shown flashes of form but is 2 pounds lower now when 2nd at Taunton in January and you can see why he is favourite.

My selection and the one with the least question marks I believe is Glorious Lady. Won last time out at Warwick with the cheekpieces added on. She was 14 pounds out of the handicap it must be said and this is a shorter trip than last time out. However, she again is a very low weight here but she is due to go up very soon. So, it's the case of the Trainer taking a chance providing Glorious Lady hasn't come back to soon after only racing 7 days ago. Tabitha Worsley takes 3 pounds of Glorious Lady as well which can only help.
