FRIDAY RACING TIPS

14:35 Exeter

You could make a case for all these horses in this handicap chase race at Exeter today. current favourite Queenohearts ran with a lot of credit in the winter million meeting at Lingfield last time out finishing runner up on her chase debut after a very long break. Although 9 years old this mare is only having her 10th start under rules so is possibly a hard horse to train or get ready for a race as such. if she shows what she did at Lingfield last time out she will have a chance.

Grand Mogul has a near 300 day absence to overcome for Nicky Henderson but has run very well fresh in the past winning a few times after long breaks. Again is another horse who is only running for the 9th time as an 8 year old.

De young warrior is unbeaten chasing at the moment and clearly is enjoying it winning 2 from 2. Has won at course and distance this season at Exeter already which will help in his favour however has gone up 7 pounds for his latest win which could prove just to much today.

My selection is the seemingly progressive Moroder. Moroder has won his last 2 races but is bottom weight here which could prove handy. This is a harder race than what he has come up against chasing this season. But he maybe perhaps is seen as an improver and possibly they haven't reached his limits yet. He is the outsider of the 4 runners here market wise (at the time of writing). To me he seems a little overpriced at around 6/1

If there is more improvement to come then Moroder would be in contention at the finish im sure

MORODER (WIN) 15:40 Warwick

Only a 3-runner race in this handicap chase but I am pretty confident this horse I fancy will be winning.

Bottom weight here Hollywoodien is the eldest in this race at 11 years old but he hasn't really shown much to give you confidence of backing him today this season. Has won round Warwick before a few seasons back. But seems to be going backwards rather than forwards on what he has shown this season.

Espoir De Guye hasn't been seen in nearly a year but has been running in higher class than this before his year out. Venetia Williams yard has really been in form these last couple of months and there is lots to like about Espoir De Guye. Who is also having his first run after a wind operation which he has had in January last month. Espoir De Guye is 2 pounds higher than when last seen but also I just feel at short price is maybe worth taking on due to maybe needing the run first time out this season even though he does have a good record fresh.

Therefore my selection is the Dan Skelton Trained Alnadam if you can forgive his run at Haydock where he was pulled up and probably isn't a fan of that trip. I think he has an opportunity to win here. Alnadam had a good third at Cheltenham in a handicap race in January which looks a strong piece of form on paper. Alnadam is only 2 pounds higher than his last winning mark and with it only being a 3 runner race will fancy his chances. Dan Skelton usually has a winner or 2 at these Warwick meetings and will probably have a few here with chances at todays meeting at Warwick.
