FRIDAY RACING TIPS

14:20 Kempton

4 run in this class 3 handicap chase. Favourite Elixir De Nutz goes into this as favourite winning at Plumpton. Although he won that day, He was last of the bridle and the other 2 opponents he faced that day were being asked from a long way. It turned into a bit of a scrap and you could argue was a lucky winner. It was desperate in the end and finished at a crawl. Ok conditions didn't help that day. But I'm not sure a fast track like Kempton will be ideal.

Although once talented it's hard to make a case for Fred who hasn't offered much the last two seasons. Across The Line has had a fairly busy campaign and has run respectable in races and is not without a great chance.

One horse who has had a light campaign being only seen once this season is Paddys Motorbike and is my selection. Won at Fakenham in his only run in October showed a nice turn of foot and really galloped to the line that day from the front and this small field and a quicker track like Kempton will play into his hands, I think. Has run well fresh from a break before so I wouldn't be put off by the 100 day break

16:05 Kempton

Lots of familiar faces of the national hunt scene run in this class 3 handicap chase. Double Shuffle & Ami Desbois are the two 12 years olds in this race. Double Shuffle won here over course and distance last time but surely a horse with younger legs will have too much for both of them today.

Offalltheginjoints seems to have lost way the last two seasons and returns from a near 3 month break. Difficult to see him winning although the yards horses seem to be running better. Hollow Ginge would maybe want softer ground? Nicky Henderson pair would have each way play Morning Vicar & Colonial Dreams and usually Henderson is amongst the winners when a Kempton meet is on. Smarty Wild second against Caribean Boy at this track looks a good piece of form and has a strong favourites chance.

My selection is Dan Skelton Flegmatik who is weighted to go well in todays race. he finished 3rd in a higher grade race than this at Kempton at Christmas and with Harry Skelton back on the saddle should be bang in contention. He is 3 pounds lower now than he was for his last success over fences. So the time is right now to play Flegmatik
