FRIDAY RACING TIPS

12:55 Huntingdon

Big Boy Bobby being the only 4-year-old in this race gets a weight allowance which will is a big advantage considering he was 2nd at Hereford. Losing out to a front runner who was not for catching surely would have learnt from that experience. Fairly short in price but I feel there is more value elsewhere.

Shallow River got his head in front at the third time of asking in a bumper race at Wincanton on Boxing Day and is near the top of the market. How he finished at the end of his bumper race on Boxing Day would suggest he will be winning again sooner rather than later. Wolfspear won a bumper here at Huntingdon but it hasn't been a great start over hurdles.

My selection though does come with a slight risk attached that it hasn't ran in nearly 4 years. Kalinihta is the selection. If you look at Kalinihta Bumper win at Fontwell in 2018 there will be a few familiar names one being a grade 1 winner in Itchy Feet who has run consistently well over the last few years. Flic Ou Voyou one of Paul Nicholls has won a couple of nice type of races. Shut The Box another horse that was in that race has won a few times. So, a fair few that have come out of this bumper race have won.

It's obviously only a single line of form. Along with a massive absence to overcome. But clearly has some ability and the owners have had to be patient with him. It maybe will be hard to beat the favourite and will clearly need the run but at nearly double figure odds (At time of writing) looks a nice each way play if he retains any form of ability.
