The First race of the International meeting of the two-day festival is a Novice Hurdle race and you would expect one of the front 3 in the market in this 6-runner race to be winning

Washington was 2nd in a grade 2 last time out to at this very course and that winner had won previously his 2 other races making him 3 unbeaten so that form does look strong to some extent and the fact he seemed to handle the Cheltenham experience as such would stand him in good stead compared to his other 2 closest Market Rivals

Hartur D'Oudairies was visually impressive last time out at Warwick and could be something special. Cheltenham is quite a different track to Warwick so would be interesting to see how he copes. 3rd in that Warwick race has reappeared and could only come 4th so the opposition he faced that day may have not been that strong.

Jpr One is my selection. for this race though. Was a surprise winner at Exeter last time out but really kept on to the task well despite a little bit of inexperience shown. Should come on better for that run. The 2 front of the market that day were very much fancied and I Am Maximus was in the mix for the Supreme race at Cheltenham betting. So the win was a bit of a surprise that day. I think there's loads more improvement in him and there is a bit more value to be played with compared to the current favourite
