18:00 Dundalk
We start our Friday night lights preview with a five furlong handicap.
Little Sweetheart looks an early favorite for this after a very convincing course and distance win at the end of last year; she has been impressive on both her runs on this track but the six pound rise may just be beyond her today.
Shinyhappyjohn is the only other previous course and distance winner in the field and looked to have run one of his best races for along time when finishing second here last month; he will defiantly benefit with his jockey’s claim taken into account but may once again find another too strong.
Cliffords Reprieve is another who should take advantage of his jockey’s claim; he’s never run from such a lowly mark in the past and if he’s going to get his second win under his belt this has to be one of his best chances to date.
Mr Right was pin balled out of the stalls when making his debut on this surface back in September which probably knocked the confidence out of him at the start of the race, but he was flying home in the final stages and if he had a clear run that day he’d of gone close and get’s the vote for this today.
Mr Right (E/W if 9/2+)

Our second preview is a claiming race over a mile.
This probably isn’t the most exciting race of the night but there are a couple here that can take advantage of that.
Strategic Force was very consistent for Clive Cox  over in England on this surface and did manage to win twice at Kempton so it shouldn’t be too long till he can reproduce that kind of form for his new yard here in Ireland but he’s never been tried over this distance so only time will tell.
British Art is another who’s had a change of scenery recently but was along way behind on his debut for new connections, that said the trip he was tried at that day seemed way beyond him and this distance today looks more suited to him.
Zylan finished just behind Strategic Force last time out after leading for most of the race, he was giving the former seven pounds that day and will need to improve a lot to get closer here today.
The top weight Our Max looked a real possibility when finishing second here last month but couldn’t repeat that next time out with a seven pound claimer on board, there could of been something amiss that day and it be worth checking on in the market if money comes for him.
Torpedo Ally looked something special when here in April last year but showed none of that form when taking to the turf for the rest of the year, the fact connections have bought him back here is a real positive and racing from such a low mark he looks the one to be on.
Torpedo Ally  (E/W if 9/2+)

We stay at Dundalk for our final preview of the night a one mile handicap.
It’s a surprise to see Hat Alnasar not taking on this with his normal jockey especially as the jockey’s claim has been a key benefit to his consistency over this distance and he may struggle from his current mark here today.
Marise is upped two pounds for finishing a very close second around here last week, that may of been over a shorter trip but she’s won over further in the past and should be a real player in this today.
Manarov is upped six pounds for his clear win over course and distance last month but that shouldn’t be much of a problem as his jockey’s claim removes all of that and some; he should give another account today and must go close.
Settle For Red won twice over course and distance back in November and probably found seven a little to quick for him last time out; he is back on a winning mark as is another benefiting from his jockey’s claim and can get back to winning ways.
Settle For Red (E/W if 9/2+)
