18:00 Dundalk We kick off tonight’s action with eleven youngsters looking to shake off their maiden tag. This maiden race doesn’t look jam packed with quality but equally it’s a tricky one to decipher. I’m a huge fan of Tracey Collins here at Dundalk and she looks ready to saddle Meetyouatthemoon who looks to improve on her third placed finish here last time out. The form of that maiden doesn’t look too bad and coming out of stall two she’s bound to go close. Camiyra finished fifth behind Meetyouatthemoon in the same race and wasn’t too far behind however with a less advantageous draw it seems that the Collins runner is likely to finish ahead of her once more. Decisive Intent is yet to tackle the all-weather so if handling conditions could do well however after four starts already she isn’t open to as much improvement as her rivals. At a large price She’s Ranger could build on her fifth placed finish last time out and looks the forgotten horse in a race that won’t take much winning. I’m in two minds as to wether or not I side with the favourite or the outsider and I feel, based on the draws, the favourite just gets the nod. Meetyouatthemoon (WIN)
19:35 Dundalk A 1m4f handicap contest awaits us with our second selection of the evening where I’m opting for a horse that has yet to find success on the all-weather however has finished second twice in four starts on the artificial surface. Coming out of stall four, the seven year old,To Choose could go well. A staying on fifth in his last race here looks like decent form as he challenges some of the same rivals again this time around. A win at The Curragh back in August shows he still retains a decent level of ability and at a best price of around 8/1 seems good value. Of his rivals the biggest danger looks set to be the favourite Rahyah who’s aiming to make it three in a row however a high draw and a six pound rise in the weights may well be its undoing. That being said at the age of three its open to further improvement and is likely to finish inside the top three but isn’t certain to claim victory. War Room has been ultra consistent on the all-weather and hasn’t finished outside of the top two in its last four runs here and is more than likely to go well again. Never the less the mount of Colin Keane is where the money’s going and with good reason. To Choose (E/W)
20:35 Dundalk The final selection in our trio of tips comes in the penultimate race on the card. There’s only two course and distance winners here and my selection is one of them. Now racing off a fourteen pound lower handicap mark then when winning here previously. A sixth placed finish at Dundalk in his last outing shows he’s primed and ready to win and with the booking of Colin Keane Gun Shoot becomes very eye catching. There’s four three year olds that are set to race in this and obviously all four are open to improvement, none more so than Reddot Dancer who won here last time out. The horse isn’t the most consistent however and it’s difficult to know wether he’ll build upon that victory. With Konig Hall’s connections now employing the addition of blinkers he looks to go even better than its third placed finish and looks the biggest danger here. Gun Shoot (E/W)
