16:15 Wolverhampton We start tonight’s Friday Night Lights article pretty early as we take in the first from Wolverhampton. It could quite easily be construed as a two horse race between both Stanlow and Sarlat and in fairness they do have the best chances out of all ten entrants. That being said however with ten runners set to line up it may be worth searching for a horse at a bigger price and I plump for the oldest horse in the race, Snow Dancer. The horse has won at Wolverhampton before and if it can recapture some of it’s best career form it should have more than enough to beat today’s rivals. I know that the horse clearly isn’t the horse it once was but it’s very intriguing at this level. Snow Dancer (E/W)
18:15 Wolverhampton Today’s second pick comes in quite an open race in Wolverhampton’s penultimate contest. Despite there being six course winners in the field, of which I see both Spirit Of Gondree, Foie Gras and Arabian Flight as likely dangers, I’m opting for a horse who has never won at the Midlands course. Four year old Seven Lucky Seven has a great jockey in Paul Mulrennan on board and has gone close so many times. With only one win to it’s name it is hardly one that is likely to rack up a sequence but I hope we have caught it right this time and it gets it’s head in front. Seven Lucky Seven (E/W if 5/1+)
20:35 Dundalk We end today’s article with a trip to Ireland and take in a race from Dundalk. The second to last race on the card sees fourteen runners line up and a case can be made for numerous runners but I feel it really worth noting that high class Irish jockey Seamie Heffernan has one ride and gets aboard four year old Crecora. The Eoin Doyle trained horse had an impressive second placed finished last time out and I don’t think a drop in trip will be of any great concern. It has some stiff competition to tackle but think it can definitely place if not go one better than it’s last run. Crecora (E/W if 5/1+)
