FRIDAY FLAT RACING TIPS

14:05 Redcar

Baileys Accolade placed on debut at York and possibly bumped into a smart performer that day. She’s trained by Mark Johnston and is ridden by Joe Fanning, both of which are in quite good form. She’s related to a smart six furlongs performer, who is also owned by the Bailey’s. She’s open to improvement but equally it’s firmer ground today and this could be a faster six furlongs race.

Macchiavello is an interesting participant, being jointly owned by Amo Racing and Coolmore’s Michael Tabor. He’s trained by Karl Burke and Rossa Ryan rides. He was bought for a large six figure sum at the sales and could be a precocious two year old, being by No Nay Never and having Zoffany as dam-sire. He certainly warrants his market support and looks to be the main danger.

Liberated Light is bred to stay further than six furlongs but he is related to some interesting horses, including Raise You and Lady G. His Sire is Muhaarar, which is a bonus as it means he should have some speed. He gains weight off some of his rivals, as jockey Connor Murtagh takes 3 pounds off. Most notably off all, he’s trained by Richard Fahey, who has won the last two renewals of this race. He has quite a bit going for him and could extend Richard Fahey’s record to three.
