FAHEY’S FIRE TO FLOURISH IN THE OPENER

With deep ground expected the extra half furlong here will feel like a full furlong and more. When I look at the race that extra distance will suit very few in my opinion, one that will see it out on this ground is FIREWATER. Was only beaten by a head on reappearance last season off just 1lbs lower and that was on the AW where he's yet to win. His form on soft and heavy ground at all distances reads; 4,1,2,5,3,2,1,3. Two of his three wins have come over this trip but he gets further. 2nd over course and distance in 2019. Up in class slightly so comes here right near the bottom of the weights, therefore getting plenty of weight off his rivals. Yard won this in 2016 and Paul Hannagan has won this twice in 4 years. Where's Jeff doesn't convince me over this trip on this ground. Kaser needs to put his reappearance run well behind. Noble Masquerade needs cheekpieces to work.
