Tha’ir has won at Group and Listed level earlier in his career and was a decent second at Wolves on penultimate run so it would be a surprise if he wasn’t challenging at the finish off his current mark. That said, most of his career victories have come over further than he encounters today so he could find things happening a bit fast around him.

Likely favourite Georgian Bay arrives on the back of a solid placed effort last time out but has only won once in twenty-four attempts over the trip so preference is for Andrew Balding’s Intimate Art who makes his fibresand debut but won over todays’ trip at Chelmsford last summer and is partnered with in-form jockey Oisin Murphy.
