EAGLE TO SOAR AT SOUTHWELL

15:25 Southwell

Ed Bethell has his string in fine form, posting six wins from his last nine runners over the last two weeks, and runs Eagle's Foot who has won two from two since stepping up to this trip. He has had a wind op which could help to bring further improvement and should be capable of marking his return with victory.

The main challenger looks to be Call My Bluff who notched a hat-trick of victories late last summer, is proven over the trip and was last seen finishing second to Main Fact who was in the midst of his nine race winning streak, so the form stands up well. The concern I would have is that he needed a couple of races to hit top gear last season so may improve for the run.

Rayna's World has no stamina worries but has been racing predominately over hurdles in the last couple of years and all career wins have come on soft or heavy ground so I am not convinced he will excel now switched to the all-weather, while Carausius has winning form here at Southwell so we know will handle the track, however has never raced over a trip this far.
