DODS RUNNER TO OBLITERATE ASCOT OPPOSITION

16:10 Ascot

I thought here it was worth chancing that the small field and quick ground would go against short priced favourite Significantly. Tis Marvellous was soundly beaten by Significantly last time so I can't see him reversing the form.

Bedford Flyer will appreciate the quick ground but would need to run a clear career best to win.

Mountain Peak has been beaten by JAWWAL many times in his career and I expect that trend to continue. Jawwal will love the quick ground and the small field. Has thrived off the drop to 5f's these last two seasons. On a career high mark but sprinters do get better with age, he ran career best last time when winning quite easily and given a Racing Post Rating of 105 for it. He has a course and distance win to his name, 3 of his 4 wins over 5f have come in single figure digit fields and they were on quick ground. Michael Dods doesn't send them down to Ascot lightly. 24% strike rate in the last 5 years at the track with profit of +17.88 to level one pound stakes.
