DARLING TO DAZZLE AT WARWICK

14:00 Warwick

Currently 9 are heading to post in a handicap hurdle over 2 miles 3 furlongs at Warwick. (Your Darling and Chasamax are 3/1 joint-favourites for this race at the time of writing)

Your Darling has been on the radars of many after being mentioned on The Racing Posts podcast, Top Lot by Kerri Radcliffe. The bloodstock agent discussed that Your Darling could be a very decent National Hunt horse following an impressive bumper win last season. Unfortunately the reality hasn't lived up to the expectation as yet for this horse. In his career, he has been in races with some decent company with the likes of Bear Ghylls, Adrimel and Guard Your Dreams. Your Darling now goes into his first handicap race with a rating of 116. I believe that Your Darling is a fair bit better than 116 rated and he could be unexposed. I'm hoping that he has improved following a 165 day break and kick off his handicap hurdling career with a win.

Chasamax has experience over Your Darling having run 7 times over hurdles, however this could mean that he is more exposed at his rating of 118. Chasamax is a seemingly inconsistent horse who is yet to get his head in front. A few 2nd and 3rds on his record, however it's hard to ignore a dead last alongside pulling up earlier this season at Uttoxeter over similar trip and ground. If Your Darling continues to fail to live up to expectation, I can see Chasamax breaking his maiden here.

Rabski is currently 7/1 in the market and has shown plenty of improvement on his latest run where he came 2nd behind Caddyhill. Caddyhill has had a run following the race and came a close 3rd behind Gary Moore's Natural History. I think 7/1 is a decent each way price for this horse and could throw up a challenge to the market leaders on favourable ground.

My selection will side with the potential of Your Darling, I believe that his first run in 165 days could show us plenty of improvement.
