14:05 Carlisle - OEE "Making The Best Better" EBF Fillies' Handicap
ITV takes in additional bit of action away from Newmarket this time in the form of this sprint from Carlisle.
Although both Penny Pot Lane and Lady Celia are horses I like and have both been producing solid placed efforts but up at this grade it seems to be out of reach for this duo.
The two most fancied runners in the lineup are former course and distance winner Gometra Ginty and Velocistar. Of the two I can't look past the Keith Dalgleish trained mare. She's only gone up a handful of pounds for her latest success and with a return to this sprint trip likely to squeeze out further improvement I'm more than happy to side with the five year old.
A rival I fear most however hails from the yard of Michael Dods. Twist Of Hay was very disappointing last time out at Doncaster however on her best did produce some solid performances last year. With the filly now receiving a wind op major progression could be on the cards and it'd be no surprise if she were to find herself finish much closer this time around.
