CANELO TO KO OPPOSITION IN SKY BET CHASE

15:15 Doncaster

This ultra-competitive renewal of the Sky Bet Chase at Doncaster sees plenty of in form improvers cross swords in this years contest.

Current favourite Cap Du Nord rightly heads the market based on his excellent run at Kempton behind the highly impressive Royale Pagaille and should be on the premises once again.

Canelo was also in winning form at Wetherby last time, beating a useful yardstick in Snow Leopardess.

Novice One For The Team certainly has a future over fences, but this might be a bit too competitive at this stage in his career.

Musical Slave is very interesting. There is a big handicap in him soon, maybe Cheltenham. I wouldn’t put anyone off him, but for me three miles on soft ground may just stretch him.

It looks like this race will be run at a decent pace and with that in mind I think Canelo fits the bill. He can sit off the pace and looks most likely to see out the trip than the other main protagonists.

As an alternative and at a price I would also bring Taking Risks into consideration, this could be a real test, and this former Scottish National winner will be staying on when some have cried enough and for those looking for each way value I couldn’t dismiss his chances.

CANELO (WIN)

TAKING RISKS (E/W)
