Masekela was so close in a Group 2 at Newmarket last time when finishing second by a short head. On paper the Andrew Balding runner should dominate however I just have a sneaky feeling that he’s vulnerable after, albeit only three runs, a tough season. As such I’m going to take a chance on one with less mileage and one of the two unbeaten runners.

The form of Seattle King’s victory is a little better than Bayside Boy’s course and distance success and the Roger Varian runner perhaps has more question marks over what they’ve done so far. That being said I’m going to take a chance on Bayside Boy adding another course success and remaining unbeaten after producing what was an ultra-convincing success in their sole start.
