Safe Voyage boasts a fantastic record at Haydock, winning this race in 2019 and posting four wins and a neck second to Space Blues from five runs over course and distance, with his victories coming on good-to-soft, soft and heavy ground. It's easy enough to overlook his last two races given they came at Group 1 level over a mile, so the step down in grade and the drop back to seven furlongs very much swings things in his favour given that ten of his twelve career wins have come over this trip and he is proven at both Group 2 & Group 3 level.
Glorious Journey is more than capable on his day, but is returning from a three-month absence and his form lines with Space Blues leaves him with a little to find against Save Voyage, while With Thanks was an impressive winner at Naas when last seen in November but is another coming back from a break and when taking in to account all career wins have come in heavy ground and when racing against her own sex she will have to step forwards if she is to beat our selection.
